Colin Wilson

Head of Regeneration Old Kent Road , London Borough of Southwark

Colin is a planner and urban designer with 34 years experience of working in London. Since 2017 he has been the Head of Strategic Development and Old Kent Road Regeneration for the London Borough of Southwark. He is responsible for both the major developments within the borough, including at Canada Water masterplan and Elephant and Castle Opportunity Area and the recently approved 195m Fosters designed office and residential scheme at 18 Blackfriars Road, as well as leading on the Old Kent Road regeneration plan. The latter is targeted to deliver 20,000 new homes, 10,000 new jobs and an extension of the London Underground Bakerloo Line, with planning permission granted for 9,500 homes, 1,800 homes currently under construction and 700 completed of which 50% are affordable. 

Colin was initially seconded to LB Southwark from the GLA where he was responsible for the Mayors Opportunity Area Planning Frameworks, including those for Vauxhall Nine Elms, White City, Croydon, and the Royal Docks and for strategic planning applications.
